Sukacita dimaklumkan bahawa peserta perahu layar SK Desa Pinggiran Putra Muhammad Shahid Hakimi bin Mohd Faizal telah mewakili terpilih mewakili Negeri Selangor untuk Kejohanan Pelayaran Majlis Sukan Sekolah Malaysia di Langkawi Kedah.
Kejayaan yang membanggakan apabila Muhammad Shahid Hakimi telah mecapai kejayaan dengan mendapat Naib Johan Individu Pelayaran peringkat Malaysia. Ini amat membanggakan sekolah. Kejayaan Muhammad Shahid telah mengharumkan nama sekolah sehingga di peringkat Malaysia.
TAHNIAH SHAHID dan terima kasih kepada kedua ibu dan bapanya yang begitu bersungguh-sungguh memberikan sokongan dan kerjasama. Semoga Shahid akan terus berjaya dalam sukan pelayaran.
